The exciting announcement, which is set to further the Benton-based business’ commitment to charitable causes across the coming year, will see all proceeds from the company’s tuck shop and other charity endeavours over the next 12 months donated directly to the Children North East team.
The news comes at the end of a hugely successful partnership that Pennine developed with previous charity of choice, North of England Children’s Cancer Research, having raised just under £2,000 for the organisation across three years.
The Pennine team are confident that their ongoing donations will aid Children North East in their mission of ensuring all young people in the region grow up to be happy and healthy.
Jonathan Young, Managing Director at Pennine Home Improvements, said he was delighted to officially announce the new partnership:
“We have seen tremendous success with our charitable undertakings in recent years and we’re thrilled to be able to help Children North East wherever possible throughout 2020. It is a cause that I know so many of us here hold dearly to our hearts, so to have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people in the region was something we couldn’t turn down. We look forward to a successful and fruitful partnership.”
Carol Taylor, Senior Fundraiser at Children North East, added: “It’s fantastic that Pennine have chosen Children North East as their Charity of the Year. Working across the North East, our services work with babies, children, young people and families when times are hard so any donations we receive really do make life changing differences.”
