Pennine MD Takes A Leap For Charity

We have a daredevil within Pennine HQ. Step forward our Managing Director Graham Auld.

Not even a long-standing fear of heights is enough to put off Graham from raising more funds for our corporate charity, The Great North Air Ambulance Service.

On the 19th September at 3.00pm, Graham will be taking the plunge with a zip slide challenge across the River Tyne from one of the tallest buildings in the city – The BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.

The slide starts 40m up, from the roof of the BALTIC in Gateshead, and travels 280m diagonally across the River Tyne before finishing on the Newcastle quayside.

All money raised from the zip slide will go directly to the GNAAS who answer around 1,000 call outs per year across Cumbria, the North-East and North Yorkshire.

This is the latest effort by Pennine to help them raise the £4m annual cost of keeping their three helicopters flying.

Most recently we raised £1,000 during Graham’s birthday celebrations.

If you would like to make a donation please do so at the bottom of this blog post.

Perhaps best to keep your eyes firmly closed shut whilst doing it Graham.
